Radhika

Radhika was adopted by Mansaram after her mother's death. An ardent follower of Kanha, Radhika was married off to Dev in her childhood itself. Radhika is selected as the bride for Rohan and after marriage becomes the Choti Bahu of the Purohit family. Radhika is unaware of the fact the Dev, the Purohit's domestic help, is her real husband. She feels a spiritual connect with Dev at their first meeting itself. Radhika discovers the fact that Dev is her first husband but is unable to reveal it to him.

Dev

Twenty three-year-old Dev is a Purohit by birth. However, the truth is known only to Dadaji and Daimaa. Principled and upright, Dev got married to Radhika when both were children. Dev completely forgets about his marriage and Radhika as he grows into an adult. However, destiny helps him meet Radhika when she is selected as the bride for Rohan.

Dev believes in Balram and suspects that someone was trying to create problems for him. He decides to investigate the matter himself to prove Balram's innocence.

Viraat fears that Dev may learn the truth that he had mixed poison into the fodder in order to create problems for Balram. Viraat therefore not only tries to stop Dev from investigating the matter but also tries to convince Dev to punish Balram for his mistake.

Radhika intervenes and tells Dev that he should punish Balram only if he finds him guilty of poisoning the cattle. Barkha and Viraat get worried when Radhika assures to prove Balram's innocence. Dev too decides to prove Balram's innocence.

Maheshwari is shocked when Viraat informs her that he had mixed poison in the fodder. Viraat explains his and Barkha's plan to Maheshwari.

Barkha is furious when she learns that Viraat threw the empty poison bottle in the muth. She fears that Dev may learn about their plan if he or Radhika find the bottle in the muth. Barkha calls up at the muth and asks the mahanth to lock the door of the cowshed till Dev takes a decision regarding Balram.

Meanwhile at the muth, Balram finds an empty bottle and realizes that the bottle smells similar to the poison mixed in the fodder. He informs Radhika about it. Radhika and Balram rush to meet the veterinary physician and inform him about it. When Radhika questions the vet about the poison, he refuses to inform her in Dev and Barkha's absence. 

When Radhika returns home, she informs Dev about the bottle that Balram had found in the muth. She requests Dev to enquire with the vet about the poison which the bottle had contained since it smelt similar to the poison mixed in the fodder. .

Radhika shares her suspicion to Dev that someone was trying to create problems for Balram. Dev is puzzled when he realizes that someone was trying to create problems for Balram.

Later, Radhika pacifies Balram and assures to prove his innocence the following day.

Radhika is shocked on learning from Dev that all the cattle in the muth had fallen ill. Radhika suspects that it was Barkha's plan to create problems for Balram. Radhika, Dev and Barkha rush to the muth.

When the mahanths arrive at the cowshed to confront Balram, they find him sleeping and wake him up. Balram had fallen asleep after consuming the medicine that had tranquilizing effects. The mahanths confront Balram and hold him responsible for the cattle's illness. Balram tries to prove his innocence but the mahanths do not believe him. The mahanths decide to complain to Dev about Balram's carelessness. 

When Dev, Radhika and Barkha arrive, the mahanths complain to Dev about Balram. They tell Dev that Balram was found sleeping in the cowshed and was not paying attention to the cattle.

When the mahant asks Dev to punish Balram, Dev says that he would give Balram a day to prove his innocence. Dev also asks the mahant to call the veterinary physician.

Later in Dev's absence, Radhika gets furious and confronts Barkha for creating problems for Balram. Radhika accuses Barkha of poisoning the cattle in the cowshed. She asks to not create problems for Balram since she was enemies only with her.

Barkha agrees to prove Balram innocent on the condition that Radhika must reveal her true identity to the family.

After the vet examines the animals, he tells Dev that the animals had consumed poison. Barkha pretends to gets shocked. The vet prepares medicine and offers it to the animals.

When Dev returns home along with Balram, Daimaa questions Balram about the incident. Balram pleads innocence.

Dev is confident about Balram and suspects that someone was trying to create problems for him. He decides to investigate the matter himself to prove Balram innocent.

Lord Krishna embodied in Radhika's form wakes up early morning and prays to the Sun God as it was part of Radhika's daily ritual.

Chanda is surprised when Chenu brings a bottle of shampoo for her. Chenu also gifts a sari to Shanti and a kurta to Mansaram. Shanti is puzzled how Chenu could manage to purchase such expensive gifts for the family and questions him. Chenu pacifies Shanti saying that he had got a job and managed to purchase gifts for the family.

Balram is unwell and decides to visit a physician to get some medication. Radhika too is unwell but refuses to consume the medicinal decoction prepared by Daimaa. Dev tries to convince Radhika to consume the medicine.

Meanwhile Barkha intervenes and expresses concern for Radhika. Barkha tells Daimaa that she would convince Radhika to consume the medicine. Daimaa is surprised when Radhika consumes the medicine after Barkha convinces her.

Barkha tells the family that she would take care of Radhika till she recovers. Daimaa is unaware about Barkha's intention of keeping an eye on Radhika in order to prevent her from visiting the muth.

The physician gives medicine to Balram and warns him not to consume the medicine before the meal or else he would feel dizzy the entire day.

Meanwhile at the muth in Balram's absence, Viraat mixes poison in the fodder so that the animals fall ill after consuming it.

He calls up Barkha to tell her about it. Barkha is pleased and states that they can execute their next plan soon after the animals fall ill.

When Balram returns to the muth he offers the fodder mixed with poison, to the animals in the cowshed. Balram ignores the physician's advice and consumes his medicine before the meal.

Radhika notices Barkha smiling wickedly and therefore suspects her intentions. Meanwhile, Dev receives a call from the muth and learns that all the cattle in the muth has fallen ill.

Radhika is shocked when Dev informs her about it.

Barkha spread rumors in the muth that a huge amount of money was missing from the accounts department. She asks the mahant to inform Dev about it but learns that Dev had proceeded home for lunch. The mahant wonders who could have committed the sin of stealing money from the muth.

Viraat intervenes and accuses Balram of stealing the money. Meanwhile, Radhika arrives and stops Viraat from accusing Balram without any evidence. Radhika tries to prove Balram innocent and asserts that she is confident that Balram would never do such a sin. Barkha, however, refuses to believe Radhika and calls Balram for interrogation.

When Balram arrives, Viraat questions him about the money. Meanwhile, Dev arrives and stops Viraat. Everyone is surprised when Dev states that he had the money, which was missing from the accounts department. Dev adds that Balram had given him the money, which he had found along with old newspapers outside the accounts department. Barkha feigns happiness and thanks God for saving her from committing a sin by punishing Balram.

The mahant suggests Dev and Barkha that they must reward Balram for his honesty. Balram rejoices when Dev agrees and rewards him Rs 5000. On the other hand, Barkha fumes with anger as her plan to create problems for Balram had gone in vain.

Later Barkha gets furious when Radhika taunts her to be a devil and threatens to teach her a lesson.

At night, Dev finds Radhika unwell and expresses concern for her without her knowledge. He finds Radhika coughing and therefore covers her with an extra blanket. Barkha gets jealous when she notices Dev taking care of Radhika.

Next morning, when Radhika wakes up, she notices that she was covered with two blankets. Radhika believes that Dev must have come to her room last night to take care of her.

When Radhika gets water for the puja, Daimaa is puzzled as she notices that Radhika's sari was wet. Radhika explains to Daimaa that she dropped the water on herself while carrying the pot from the well.

Chenu works for a living and rejoices when he receives his hard-earned wage of Rs 200 for the first time.

Shanti goes to a grocery shop but the shopkeeper refuses to give her grocery as she had not paid her earlier dues. Shanti assures the shopkeeper that she would return his dues when Mansaram returns home but the shopkeeper refuses. Meanwhile Chenu, who is on his way home, notices Shanti having an argument with the shopkeeper.

When Shanti leaves, Chenu apologizes to the shopkeeper on Shanti's behalf and asks about the dues. He pays pays Rs 200 to the shopkeeper and asks him to give the grocery. The shopkeeper refuses and states that he would not give the grocery to him till he clears all the dues. Chenu says that he only has Rs 200 with him. When the shopkeeper asks Chenu to search for money in his pocket, finds Rs 200 more. He puts his hand again to find more money. Chenu is puzzled thinking where the money was coming from. He recollects Radhika's words that he would never be short of money once he starts earning a living by working for it.

Barkha assigns work to Balram at the cowshed in the muth. Balram agrees and assures to carry out his duty efficiently. Barkha hands over a huge sum of money to Balram and asks him to buy food for the cattle. Balram suspects Barkha's intentions and recollects Radhika's words to be careful about Barkha. 

Balram calls up Radhika and informs her about the money. He shares his fears about Barkha's intentions. Radhika asks Balram to be alert and assures to visit the muth soon. 

Barkha informs Viraat that she has handed over the money to Balram. She asks Viraat to spread rumors that a huge sum was missing from the accounts department of the muth.
